Puerto Vallarta May 2011, Cultural Festival Calendar of Events

Cinemark, Plaza Caracol will be participating in the Festival, presenting three different films: "Amélie”, "The Train of Life" and the documentary "To Believe Is to Create." Showings will be on, Monday 23, Tuesday 24 and Wednesday May 25.

On Friday, May 27th, 8:00pm, Luna Sureste, who has visited Puerto Vallarta in the past with great success, will be sharing her magical Rumba rhythms mixed with a touch of Flamenco and Latin sound. She will be presenting her music in the Exhibition area of Plaza Caracoal. Also presenting in this area will be photographer, Yesika Felix. She is amongst many of the local, renowned, visual artists that Vallarta has produced.

Faride Talamás will present his first album "The Idea of You". This artist is backed by the Cultural Institutions of the State of Chihuahua and the National Council for Culture and the Arts (CONACULTA). In the month of June, he will be opening concerts of the Mexican pop singer Yuridia. This concert will take place at the Auditorio Telmex in Guadalajara.

The closing and highlight of the May Festival will have two internationally recognized performers, RADAID, known for their extraordinary quality of music and vocals and multi-award winning Mexican Dj Martin Parra.

Parra is one of the most important DJ's in the national electronic scene having shared the stage with world top DJ’s such as Paul Van Dyk, DJ Tiesto, Moby, just to name a few.

The Festival is a joint effort between the Municipal Government, the Department of Art and Culture, and the State Secretary of Culture and Tourism of Puerto Vallarta. All events are free of charge.

Puerto Vallarta is proud to present this Festival of the arts and culture and wish to celebrate it with all of you.
