May just keeps getting better. The Fiesta de Mayo has been a big hit so far and we still have lots of events in store. Wednesdays Contemporary Dance event downtown is sure to be one the most exciting.

Next month the city will welcome guests from 10 different countries during the 2011 Intercontinental Games, a sporting event for persons with intellectual disabilities.
A few miles up the coast, the 5th Riviera Nayarit Sport Fishing Tournament is the talk of the town, this year with some incredible prizes.

Here in PV, the Malecón construction has begun, but it´s business as usual.
Shopkeepers are open, so are the dance clubs, restaurants and bars, nightclubs and Banks.
Traffic has been somewhat redirected but the buses from Nuevo Vallarta and Bucerias are nevertheless coming into town as are the Taxi-Cabs.

If you are going into Old Town, also known as the Romantic Zone, there are no traffic problems caused by the construction. Some of the events of the Festival Cultural de Mayo are taking place at the Cultural Center by the Rio Cuale which borders Olas Altas, both places are easily accessible, especially the Rio Cuale Island.

From the Island, you´re only footsteps away from the Romantic Zone and one of the nicest beaches in town.
